Claymore’s Zcash (ZEC) AMD miner has been updated a couple of times already since the release of the initial version from some days ago. The number of optimizations and hashrate improvements with pretty much each major update has been tremendous, bringing back to life many of the old AMD Radeon GPUs such as 7950/7970 or the 280X, some of the most popular mining video cards for the last few years. The latest release, already a major version 6 brought more fixes and optimizations in terms of performance. As one would expect Nvidia is left behind once more, even though there were some signs that recently it was starting to catch up to the levels of performance of AMD GPUs, it is now yet again significantly slower. So owners of Nvidia-based mining rigs might want to switch to some other alternative for mining at the moment after the latest performance boosts from Claymore. Do have in mind however that Claymore’s Zcash miner does come with a 2.5% dev fee, below is a list of major changes and updates of the miner after the initial release:

I usually put my miners on one cryptocurrency and leave it there for a month or two. Since prefer to mine and hold, I like to mine a cryptocurrency that has less competition. Some people are not able to mine and hold, and instead must mine and sell the rewards that they mine. I still like to make sure that I am mining one of the more profitable coins, so as long as it is close to the most profitable, I am fine with that.

So, should you do it? That’s entirely up to you! Since GPU mining relies on GPU power, an investment in high end GPUs such as the GTX 1070 or 1080Tis is likely to pay off either through mining profit or via resell value, if things go south. Investing in lower end hardware might seem like a less-risky move from a financial standpoint, as it will imply a lower initial investment, but the return of investment rate and chances are significantly lower.
Crucially, AirDrop is compatible between both iOS devices and Macs, making it a convenient way to wirelessly send content between nearby devices of any tpe — as long as they’re made by Apple. AirDrop works very well if you use Apple devices, and it’s the kind of solution that should really be adopted by Android and Windows devices as well. AirDrop helps solve the problem of sharing files, photos, and other bits of data between nearby devices.
A miner is a computer set up with that specific purpose in mind – to go through transactions and solve the algorithms as efficiently as possible. For their efforts, miners are rewarded with small amounts of said currency. Mining typically requires a tremendous amount of processing power, and used to be done using the CPU or the GPU, depending on the currency. CPU mining was popular a while back, with the rise of Bitcoin, but started becoming obsolete when chips designed specifically for mining appeared. These chips, known as ASICs (application-specific integrated circuit) and FPGAs (field-programmable gate array), usually provided significantly better mining performance, and quickly became the go-to options for people looking to go into the mining business, as they outperformed CPU mining and were able to keep up with the constantly-increasing difficulty of mining. This is how Bitcoin mining slowly moved from the masses to specialized groups that were willing to invest in dedicated mining hardware.
The future of startups seeking investment from venture capitalists is particularly unstable and uncertain. Many startups fail, but a few gems are able to offer high-demand products and services that the public wants and needs. Even if a startup’s product is desirable, poor management, poor marketing efforts and even a bad location can deter the success of a new company.

High yield bonds are subject to credit risk, which increases as the creditworthiness of the issuer falls. It’s important to pay attention to changes in credit quality, as less creditworthy bonds are more likely to default on interest payments or principal repayment.
Anytime you go to Share something (document, picture, etc) on iPhone, you’ll see the option to Airdrop it at the top of the Share menu. You can share files from your iCloud Drive, pictures from the Photos app, songs you’ve found on Apple Music, recordings from Voice Memos, and much more. If you see the option, you can Airdrop that media.
2. I’m not ready to increase the amount of GPU’s per mining rig yet. The most expensive part of the system is the GPU’s, and systems can be somewhat unstable – at least for me. It does not really save much money. But maybe it’s the future – I don’t really know.
Though they’re hardly commonplace, there are a handful of dividend investments that come in a mutual fund wrapper and an ETF wrapper. And, one of the best choices of these dual-choice holders for income-seekers is the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (NYSEARCA:VIG) or its counterpart, the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation Index Fund Investor Shares (MUTF:VDAIX).
Ethereum is (as of February 2018) the leading blockchain platform for ICOs with more than 80% market share. Tokens are generally based on the Ethereum ERC20 standard. According to Cointelegraph the Ethereum network ICOs have resulted in considerable phishing, Ponzi schemes, and other scams, accounting for about 10% of ICOs.

If you are getting a form of guaranteed return, your risk is a lot lower. Unlike the backing of the Federal government, your annuity is backed by the insurance company that holds it (and perhaps another company that further insurers the annuity company). Nonetheless, your money is typically going to be very safe in these complicated products.
You would then invest the rest of your nest egg in a diversified portfolio of stocks and bonds (or, more likely, stock and bond funds, preferably low-cost index funds) from which you’ll periodically replenish your cash reserve/emergency account.
Hi Rolf, this is my first blog post so please forgive me if I’m commenting incorrectly. I financed a medium sized ZEC GPU mining operation and the tech side of the deal is no longer involved. I probably have sooo many questions but first I just want to say thank you for sharing all your valuable experience and knowledge. You are helping lots or people and helping the industry a lot in the process. I have ethOS and msi rx580 GPU’s 8gb. Motherboards are msi z270. None of the rigs are performing at the hashrate I was told they could achieve. Do you have any settings suggestions? I was told the machines are overclocked and undervolted but I’m not tech savvy at all actually and don’t really know how to check. I’m becoming familiar with the ethOS panel but I can’t find the recommended settings based on my equipment. Can you give me some good guidelines or direct me where to find them? Also, I need to add additional ventilation before the warm weather hits and I wondered if you might share the info on your filtered intake fan as well as your exhaust fan? Thanks in advance, I’m leatning a lot.
As mentioned in the FAQ Does Zcash offer complete anonymity for transactions?, the encryption of data in shielded Zcash transactions aligns more with the term “privacy” as it is foremost a tool for financial privacy with the added benefit of increased anonymity.
Some projects run Pre-ICOs as a way to accrue funds to cater for the expenses incurred on the way to launching the main ICO. Some of the expenses include paid promo ads, strategic recruitment and meet-up costs to help whip up investor interests.
Next, you’ll want to modify your system page file and manually set it to 16384 MB (16GB). Right click “This PC” from Windows Explorer and choose “Properties”. Click on “Advanced system settings”. On the Advanced tab, click “Settings” (under Performance).
High yield bonds are more likely to have call provisions, which means they can be redeemed or paid off at the issuer’s discretion prior to maturity. Typically an issuer will call a bond when interest rates fall, potentially leaving investors with capital losses or losses in income and less favorable reinvestment options. Prior to purchasing a corporate bond, determine whether call provisions exist.
To minimize the disruptions to your mining and settings, you may also want to disable Windows Updates. If you feel more secure leaving updates on, you can do so, but keep in mind there are frequent updates that will reboot your system and stop your mining.
There is an argument to be made that a dearth of regulatory oversight is actually good, as it allows the ICO market to iterate and innovate quickly. It is a reasonable(ish) argument and likely technically correct, but that doesn’t mitigate the potential for unsophisticated investors to be preyed upon.
