I like the R9 fury if you can get it for a deal. There for awhile they were 239. You can undervolt the hell out of them and still get 400 h. They can do more if you don’t want to undervolt them. I have one running right now. 6 Cards and it fluctuates between 2400-2500 and uses 800-840 watts. I think I can get lower, but I’m using MSI AB and it only allows you to do -96mv. I’m going to try to do it manually on claymore to see if I can get a little bit more out of it. 750’ish would make me pretty happy.

Early investors in the operation are usually motivated to buy the cryptocoins in the hope that the plan becomes successful after it launches which could translate to a higher cryptocoin value than what they purchased it for before the project was initiated. An example of a successful ICO project that was profitable to early investors is the smart contracts platform called Ethereum which has Ethers as its coin tokens. In 2014, the Ethereum project was announced and its ICO raised $18 million in Bitcoins or $0.40 per Ether. The project went live in 2015 and in 2016 had an ether value that went up as high as $14 with a market capitalization of over $1 billion.

There’s a good chance you’ve relied on Macquarie infrastructure without even realizing it. The company, among other things, provides contracted jet-fueling services. It has also got a hand in other pies like wind and solar power, natural gas distribution and more.

Initial Coin Offerings, also known as ICOs is the cryptocurrency version of crowdfunding and are a part of the crypto world that is most likely here to stay. It’s one of the easiest and most efficient methods for companies and individuals to fund their projects and for regular users to invest in projects they see value in. An Initial Coin Offering is an event that usually extends over a period of one week or more and in which everyone is allowed to purchase newly issued tokens in exchange for established cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) or Ether (ETH).

Sure, it’s easy. Set the Trezor up as per its documentation, making sure to accurately record and securely store the seed phrase as your top priority. Of course, you must also remember / record your PIN.

Yup. I was really disappointed when I actually realized they couldn’t Airdrop with Mac. That feature was the element I was most excited about before I realized it wasn’t a feature. Have never once used airdrop. And I’m a nerd who likes to do crap like that and have used Airdrop on Mac for years.

AirDrop is supported on current iPads going back to iPad 4 and iPad Mini. It also works on current iPhones going back to the iPhone 5 (and, yes, it even works on the iPod Touch 5). It is also supported on Macs with OS X Lion, although Macs released earlier than 2010 may not be supported.

If the user you’re sharing with taps Accept, you’ll see a blue line move around the outside of their icon indicating the progress of the transfer. When the transfer is complete, Sent will appear under their icon.

The ALUs of a GPU are partitioned into groups, and each group of ALUs shares management, so members of the group cannot be made to work on separate tasks. They can either all work on nearly identical variations of one single task, in perfect sync with one another, or nothing at all. Trying different hashes repeatedly – the process behind Bitcoin mining – is a very repetitive task suitable for a GPU, with each attempt varying only by the changing of one number (called a “nonce”) in the data being hashed.

This particular card has 3,200 “Stream Processors”, which can be thought of as 3,200 very dumb execution units that can be trained to all do the same repetitive task, just so long as they don’t have to make any decisions that interrupts their flow. Those execution units are contained in blocks. The 5970 uses a VLIW-5 architecture, which means the 3,200 Stream Processors are actually 640 “Cores,” Each able to process 5 instruction per clock cycle. Nvidia would call these cores “Cuda Cores”, but as mentioned in this article, they are not VLIW, meaning they cannot do as much work per cycle. This is why comparing graphics cards by core count alone is not an accurate method of determining performance, and this is also why nVidia lags so far behind ATI in SHA-256 hashing.

The investment seeks high current income and, secondarily, capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in a widely diversified portfolio of high yield corporate bonds, often called “junk” bonds, as well as income-producing convertible securities and preferred stocks that are rated below investment grade or not rated by any major credit rating agency but deemed to be below investment grade by T. Rowe Price. more

Does that sound like the Dot.Com bubble, where valuations grew exponentially, with the NASDAQ surging from under 1,000 to over 5,000? How did it happen? Cheap money, market over confidence and investors on the hunt for the next big thing after mortgage backed securities… Current surges in post ICO valuations are certainly not based on anything tangible, with projects or businesses in their early stages, so 10x increases in a matter of months sounds somewhat extreme, the appetite for cryptocurrencies perhaps masking the business or project the coins are actually investing into…  When you consider the regulatory oversight of the NASDAQ, that’s quite a run and quite a fall from grace. The gains in Bitcoin alone have been striking, bringing new investors into the market, but how long before the wool is pulled from the eyes and the smart money walks out door leaving the last person to turn out the lights. These things tend to end in tears after all…

He doesn’t explain the why’s of this news, but here’s a possible explanation: When interest rates rise, that means corporate borrowing costs also increase. Increasing costs are not a good thing for a business and will cut into their profits. Thus, with higher-yielding stocks, higher interest rates may leave less money remaining to pay out in dividends. In general, declining stock dividend payments hurt a firm’s stock price.

This doesn’t make sense, what happens if you do not have the technical knowledge to mine or have the equipment? What if the developers want a lower cost energy coin using proof of stake? You cannot say all ICO’s are scams, NXT and Ethereum are the 2 biggest successes in the market currently.

One major surprise that has the potential to change the cryptocurrency scene forever is the recent announcement made by both AMD and NVIDIA, in which they indicated that they are looking to officially focus on the mining segment, and release mining-optimized cards. At a first glance, this may not seem as much of a news piece, but if you give it a bit of thought, the implications are huge: first and foremost, it indicates an official acknowledgement and support of cryptocurrencies and their importance, which, coming from two of the biggest companies in the tech industry, will stabilize the currencies and allow for wider adoption; secondly, by designing mining-specific hardware, AMD and NVIDIA are supporting mining enthusiasts and making mining more affordable, thus making it more accessible to the general public as well.

If there’s been one word on the lips of everyone in finance this past year, it’s cryptocurrency. If you’ve been kicking yourself for not getting in on the ground floor of blockbuster coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, you might want to consider looking into investing in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO). Be warned, however: ICOs are highly risky even under the best of circumstances, and have a high potential for scams.

With the interest Zcash is getting I highly doubt that any single miner will be able to pull off a 51% attack, that would mean a tremendous hashrate controlled by a single user. If there is such a user he would most likely be willing to mine and profit from it than using it maliciously. I’m actually yet to see a coin being destroyed by a 51% attack and double spending… though some smaller have suffered from loses from such attacks. It is not like you can just point out your Bitcoin mining farm to mine Zcash, because ZEC uses new and different proof of work algorithm and you can only mine it with CPUs and GPUs. Renting all available hashrate from a service such as NiceHash will also not be enough for 51%… and before trying to double spend coins you need to actually have some, so you need to either buy or mine a significant amount first.

To use AirDrop to export items, you must turn on AirDrop on your device and the iOS device that’s receiving the items. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then turn on AirDrop.

I (Zooko) don’t call it that because it’s not “pre”. (And it’s not mining.) Also, unlike a typical “pre-mine”, the Zcash Founders’ Reward is transparent and it aligns the incentives of the creators and the users of the system.

Great! So the word is out about BabyCoin and people are psyched, all that’s left to do is determine the token pricing and distribution. You also might want to have a prototype in order just to prove you know what you’re doing. Get your website and exchange set up and good luck!

From a security minded engineer: How can I trust someone sharing Windows executable via Google Drive and using WinRar? The guide is nice but it raises lots of security concerns. There’s no auditable open source code and stamp by security experts. Not long ago we had WannaCry spreading in the wild.

PCIE connectors are the cables that plug into your video card, not the PCI-E slots on the motherboard. There isn’t a 12 PCI-E slot motherboard on the market. Ones with 6 slots are rare enough, sometimes you will find one with 7 slots.

The original speculative grade bonds were bonds that once had been investment grade at time of issue, but where the credit rating of the issuer had slipped and the possibility of default increased significantly. These bonds are called “fallen angels”.

Please Note: The x-axis represents the selected time frame by which the funds are being measured. The y-axis represents the value of a $10,000 investment made at the start of the selected time frame or on the fund’s inception date, whichever is more recent.

You can share content using AirDrop between any recent Mac and/or iOS devices. To check if your Mac can use AirDrop, choose the Go Menu item in Finder. If AirDrop appears in the drop down list then your Mac can use AirDrop.

High yield bonds are issued by companies whose financial strength is not rock solid. Often referred to as “junk bonds,” they must pay a higher yield than other safer alternatives in order to attract investors.

BTC TRADE CORP LTD is focused on making a profit from the difference in price on bitcoin exchanges. Nowadays, this Crypto currency has a huge volatility and allows you to earn higher returns in the short term.

The numbers certainly point to a bubble, with ICOs in the 2nd quarter of this year each raising in excess of US$10 in a single day and the sizes are rising as investors look to cash in on the trend before the bubble bursts. If you can get in and get out with your tidy profit before doomsday, then it’s the investment for you, but as with any bubble, few can predict the day of the crash.

Another type of one-time password uses a complex mathematical algorithm, such as a hash chain, to generate a series of one-time passwords from a secret shared key. Each password is unguessable, even when previous passwords are known. The open source OAuth algorithm is standardized; other algorithms are covered by US patents. Each password is observably unpredictable and independent of previous ones, wherefore an adversary would be unable to guess what the next password may be, even with the knowledge of all previous passwords.

Now, navigate the application that you want its files or media to be shared with your friends, you can share content from apps such as Photos, Safari, Contacts, iBooks and many more. Lets assume you want to send a photo to your friend.

In the example above we’re mining on USA stratum pool. We have a quad-core CPU with hyper-threading (8 threads available) and only one NVIDIA GPU in the computer. We are mining with 6 threads on the CPU and on the whole NVIDIA GPU.

Some bonds give the issuer the right to call a bond but stipulate that redemption occurs at par plus a premium. This feature is referred to as a make-whole call. The amount of the premium is determined by the yield of a comparable mature Treasury security, plus additional basis points. Because the cost to the issuer can often be significant, make-whole calls are rarely invoked.

For example, during the ICO of Ethereum in 2014, the tokens were sold at a price ranging from $0.3 to $0.4 per token. After the project’s main platform was released in July 2015, the price of each token has risen significantly, reaching as high as $19.42 at one point. This means that some of the luckiest participants were able to an ROI of over 6000 percent.

However, that should not deter you from participating in ICOs for now. As long as you believe in the project, investing in ICOs is an excellent alternative to traditional stock market and assets investments.
